Retina Display Coming to New MacBook Pro

Thanks to insider leaks, the public now has some insight into what the new MacBook Pro will offer users. For anyone who is addicted to Apple this comes, no doubt, as good news, giving Apple devotees something new to look forward to and speculate about, now that the iPhone (News - Alert) 5 has been released.

The success of the earlier released iPad and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display this summer has prompted Apple to put the new technology on the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro at the upcoming Apple (News - Alert) event. The 13-inch model will come in two different models, the difference coming in the type of processors and memory capabilities. As expected, the models without the new Retina Display will be sold at a lower price than the ones with the new technology.

According to the insider leak, some of the physical features will include:

  • A teardrop-shaped design.
  • Special glass on the front of the display.
  • The use of a special glue to keep the frame and display together.
  • A more rigid stand.
  • A nearly imperceptible thickness from the side and a wide bottom front.

The project is operating under the not-so-secret codename “D1” and is experiencing delays due to thermal issues. It is predicted that the official announcement will come on October 23; once production issues have been addressed, China will begin mass-manufacturing the new project. If they continue to experience problems and delays, the new product will not be announced until early November.

No matter what the date for the release, the design and technology used in this new MacBook Pro is anticipated to be revolutionary, touted by the copy on the poster to be of “epoch-making significance”. The Apple community will be anxiously awaiting the release, which promises to be even more exciting than the recent release of the iPhone 5.
