Crowd-assisted funding on Indiegogo.com has made it possible for Blings, Inc. to create new shoes that will interact with iPhones and Android (News - Alert) smartphones. The new “smart-shoes” are guaranteed to catch everyone’s attention in a completely new way.

This new stylish footwear will feature a multi-functioned light show on your feet that can turn to an on position, multiple pre-installed programs or to a music program causing the lights to flash to the beat of the music – a far cry from the L.A. Lights shoes that were popular in the 90s.

The shoes are paired to a smartphone via a Bluetooth connection and will be synced to an application downloaded on to the phone.

What are quite possibly the most eye-catching functions of these super-shoes are that when you receive a phone call, the shoes will flash blue until you answer the phone and when you receive a text message, the shoes will flash “T E X T” in Morse code three times.

The sides of the shoes are lit with orange EL (Electroluminescent Lighting) lights and blue LED (Light-Emitting Diode) lights, located in the heels of the shoe. The shoes will have all leather uppers, though completely waterproof. The lights are flexible, and it is all controlled from the tongue of the shoe.
