Allrecipes.com has announced that the company has now introduced Allrecipes and Allrecipes Video Cookbook apps for Windows 8 tablets and PCs. The new, intuitive and personalized Windows user interface offered in these apps allow users to try out the recipes of Allrecipes in Windows 8 tablets and PCs.
The Allrecipes Video Cookbook app allows the users to make recipes right the first time. This is a virtual cookbook which provides free, professionally-produced videos. Watch top recipes being made step-by-step. Users can pause, skip, and go back in the video whenever they want. Along with the video, ingredients are showed prominently for easy reference.
Allrecipes Video Cookbook was designed for learning as you go and drawn its inspiration from the Allrecipes.com community. This provides confidence in the kitchen for cooks. Unlike any other cooking videos, these videos provide easy cross-referencing while cooking as the recipe directions are shown properly alongside and synched with the videos. It also allows users to touch or click the corresponding step in the recipe.

Recently, the company celebrated its 15th Anniversary. On this occasion, the company announced that more than 15 billion recipes were viewed, 14 million app were downloaded, 1,000 original videos were created, and nearly 200 million pieces of content was uploaded. Also, the recipes were saved or shared by more than 25 million home cooks around the globe since 1997. On this occasion, the company introduced #RecipeForHappiness, a social campaign commemorating the happy moments of the past 15 years.
