BuQu Tech, a subsidiary of Battery-Biz and a company specializing in building high-tech power products for portable electronic devices, has been named an International CES (News - Alert) Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System.

Magnetyze is a family of magnetic-based universally compatible accessories that enables seamless attachment, charging and data transfer for mobile devices.

“We’re gratified by this honor, coming as it does barely two months after our initial product rollout,” Ophir Marish, chief executive officer of BuQu Tech and its parent company said in a statement.

The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (News - Alert), the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. Products entered in this program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.

BuQu Tech also unveiled its plan to disp.ay Magnetyze at the company’s MGM Grand suite during 2013 International CES, which runs Jan. 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas.

In related news, BuQu Tech unveiled its product roadmap for 2013. BuQu Tech said that continuing into 2013, it plans to release a dozen products.
