Those with an artistic bend of mind will find the new Sony VAIO PCs exciting. Coming with a range of creative touchscreen capabilities and incorporating ArtyRaghe Studio Pro v 3.5 art painting software, Sony VAIO lets you create alluring paintings on its touchscreen canvas, digitally.

Recently, Sony, along with Ambient (News - Alert) Design – the New Zealand-based creator of ArtRage software – demonstrated these capabilities at the Sony VAIO fall product line launch, held in New York City.

A number of artists demonstrated how the pros, hobbyists and even the children can create amazing digital arts on touch-enabled VAIO PCs, using the ArtRage software.

Thanks to the ArtRage’s powerful software, Sony VAIO Touch PCs provide you the experience of actually “painting” digitally on a computer touchscreen canvas with oil paints that smear and blend.

Want the water color effect? The software allows you to create the actual water color effects of soft and wet gradation on computer screen without the use of colors and paint brush.

In a recent statement, Sony revealed that ArtRage will be included with select Sony VAIO Touch PCs in the U.S.

The Sony VAIO models that incorporate ArtRage are Sony VAIO Tap 20, Sony VAIO Duo 11, Sony VAIO L24, Sony VAIO E14P and Sony VAIO T13.

ArtRage Studio and Studio Pro 3.5 are known for their easily accessible user interface. These are among a few art programs that provide the most realistic tactile experience closest to actual painting.

Even children and beginner digital artists will find it easy to create lifelike pieces of work with ArtRage.

ArtRage can even record and play back actual paint strokes, with additional advanced features for color blending, scripting and content-sharing tools.

Also optimized for Multi-Touch Screens, ArtRage not only lets you rotate, scale and move the canvas with two fingers, but it also allows rulers, stencils, stickers, layers, selections and even menus to be easily rearranged without hunting for complex commands deep in the menu structure.

A year ago, ArtRage Studio Pro 3.5 won Professional Photographer magazine’s prestigious “Hot One” Award for Best New Gear, to be announced in the March issue of Professional Photographer.
