Accela (News - Alert), Inc., a company that provides solutions for government-citizen interaction, recently entered a partnership agreement with TP Systems, a provider of software and IT services to government, non-profit healthcare providers, and professional services organizations, to resell its full suite of Web-based automation products in Canada.
Accela Automation offers a powerful set of common features that allow end-users to enhance the way they interact with agency data. Accela’s workflow engine is configured based on client’s agency’s existing practices. Workflows can be very complex, involving several departments and multiple steps; or can be simpler, only involving a single department and just a few steps. Moreover, the company’s products feature templates that include all of the workflows, data structures, business logic, fees, Web forms and standard reports, essentially everything they need to quickly set up, configure and deploy.

Accela Automation provides administrators with the ability to quickly define fees and fee schedules. Users can assess, invoice, and receive full or partial payments from a central payment center within the application. Also, the products feature powerful scripting engine allowing clients to further customize the application to meet business needs. Events that can be triggered by the engine include creating a new record, resulting a workflow task, writing information to a data file, sending or receiving information from a Web service, and more.
