Deltek, Inc., a provider of enterprise software and information solutions for government contractors and professional services firms, recently announced that its new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Deltek Costpoint MES has been selected by A&D contractor ARINC (News - Alert). The solution will be used in ARINC’s aircraft MRO operations to improve the efficiency and profitability.
Deltek Costpoint is an enterprise software solution for government contractors and other project-driven organizations. More than 1,000 professional services firms, project manufacturers, research and development firms, grant-based not-for-profits, and energy services firms use Deltek Costpoint to improve their operational efficiency and profitability, and meet the strict compliance and audit requirements of their customers as well as government auditors such as the DCAA.
“Costpoint MES will improve our aircraft MRO operations in a variety of measurable ways,” said Carl MacKay, director of Business Operations for ARINC.
Adding, “We will have one integrated system with all of the appropriate operations and instructions, completely integrated with our planning, project management, invoicing, and accounting processes. The efficiencies gained on the shop floor will enable us to finish work on each aircraft more quickly and profitably, while maintaining our industry-leading quality standards. That’s a win-win for ARINC and our customers.”
Time, materials, overhead, and other expenses in Deltek Costpoint are tracked at the project, organization, and account level. Deltek Costpoint automatically applies the invoicing, accounting, and procurement rules to each transaction, based on its associated project. Deltek’s customers can then produce, in a matter of minutes or hours, the invoices, project status reports, procurement requests, and consolidated financial statements that it would take weeks or months to produce using other ERP environments.
“We are very excited that ARINC again turned to Deltek to drive game-changing results for its organization,” said Tom Mazich, Deltek’s EVP and GM – GovCon. “Since we launched Costpoint MES earlier this year, we have seen tremendous interest in this particular solution and our entire portfolio of project manufacturing capabilities as a whole. Leading government contractors such as ARINC are increasingly looking to Deltek to unite their financial management systems with their manufacturing operations, providing one project-based process for managing their businesses. We look forward to working closely with ARINC as it implements Costpoint MES across its organization.”
