Ixia Showcases BreakingPoint's Capabilities during Cyber Endeavor Program

During the Pacific Endeavor at Cyber Endeavor, an interoperability cyber war exercise for military communication systems, Ixia’s (News - Alert) BreakingPoint cyber range solutions was used by participating nations to improve communication performance and cyber network defenses in the Pacific theater.

Ixia explained that its BreakingPoint allows organizations to establish an ongoing security and performance testing regimen. Without this advance insight and actionable security intelligence, even the most sophisticated networks and data centers fail to ensure business continuity in the face of crippling cyber attacks and dynamic application conditions.

The Pacific Endeavor 2012 at Cyber Endeavor enacted a global systematic cyber war for live battle-testing and training. Participating nations reportedly divided themselves as Green, Red and Blue teams.

The teams used BreakingPoint solutions to simulate real-world cyber attack scenario along with the behavior pattern of millions of users and leveraged the solutions’ features to improve performance, harden defenses, validate methodologies and train next-generation cyber warriors to keep communications intact at times of attack during these exercises.
