The Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, part of the U.S. Department of Justice, has selected ForeScout to monitor and enforce network access control and endpoint compliance. The government officials will use ForeScout CounterACT appliances in U.S. Attorneys' offices nationwide.
Among the reasons the U.S. Attorneys selected ForeScout CounterACT were: because it advances network access policies across multiple sites, increases endpoint visibility, and lowers costs, the company said.
"Civilian and defense agencies are required to safeguard all access provisions and assure that devices connecting to network enclaves meet and maintain host-based security system standards," Bruce Tucker, president of Patriot (News - Alert) Technologies, said in a company statement. "ForeScout CounterACT is among the leading network security platforms that we recommend to Federal organizations seeking to rapidly and cost-effectively support network access and continuous endpoint security requirements."
ForeScout CounterACT has received the highest level of security certification for a network access control solution, the company said. Also, the ForeScout CounterACT platform has been selected by more than 1,300 enterprises and military installations for global deployments in 37 countries.
In recent company news, ForeScout Technologies extended its collaboration with McAfee (News - Alert) by bringing its network access control solution to McAfee customers, according to TMCnet. ForeScout was also named a McAfee Sales Teaming Partner within the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program. As a result, McAfee will present ForeScout CounterACT as its preferred network access control platform to McAfee customers.
TMCnet explains that ForeScout CounterACT in combination with McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator software, and McAfee Endpoint Protection help customers achieve continual monitoring and benefits from mitigation.
In addition, NCsoft, a publisher of multiplayer online games also has selected ForeScout CounterACT, TMCnet reported. The company made the selection to improve real-time visibility and automate endpoint compliance.
