Cornet Technology, Inc. (CTI (News - Alert)) has agreed to resell $5M worth of xG’s xMax mobile broadband equipment over a three year term. The company announced the deal, which is subject to placing purchase orders, saying that CTI has been granted non-exclusive rights to selling xG’s products to its range customers, including those from the United States Government and Department of Defense.
“xG has the products and technology that meet the high level performance and flexibility we need to deliver our next-generation offerings,” said Cornet Technology’s (News - Alert) CEO Nat Kumar. “Robust and reliable mobile broadband communications form the backbone of many of the advanced applications that our customers demand.”
xG has also commented on their selection, with CEO John Coleman noting CTI’s “exemplary reputation for creating tailored solutions that combine cutting edge with proven technologies,” and saying they are “proud to be working with them to deliver security and mobile communications infrastructure to some of our nation’s largest and most vigilant agencies.”
In addition to its three-year term agreement, xG has also authorized CTI to resell xMax equipment as a part of an end-to-end two-way video streaming solution for vehicles. This capability is currently under development, and would make xG’s solutions even more widely available.
“xMax goes beyond traditional radio technologies by using its built-in cognitive capabilities to offer a robust data and voice solution for real-time applications,” added Coleman. “We look forward to delivering solutions that meet the exacting requirements of the markets and customers that Cornet Technology serves.”
These customers and markets consist of both commercial and government clients, many of whom have purchased from Cornet for all 23 years the company has been in business, including U.S. international defense agencies, and aerospace agencies for the U.S. government.
“We look forward to working closely with xG to integrate xMax technology into our product set, particularly our streaming video solutions,” said Kumar.
