BrightTALK announced the presentation of case studies at its third annual Green Week Summit to highlight the best ways to capitalize on IT environmental practices and energy optimization.

This initiative to promote sustainable business practices helps companies to have corporate sustainability which will enable them to further increase profitability and improve efficiency in business operations. These practices also offer immense benefits to the environment.

According to BrightTALK sources this free, interactive Web cast series gives valuable insights gained by leaders in business, government, academia and law on the “green” challenges that businesses are facing today.

It also throws light on the options that professionals can leverage to make smarter decisions. The case studies cover topics like corporate social responsibility, sustainable IT, green building, data center efficiency and water management, said officials in a release.

On Monday, April 18 the Web cast will be on Enterprise Carbon, Energy and Sustainability Management. On the next day, the topic covered will be on Sustainable IT. Presentations include Carbon and Energy Efficient Client; Introducing the Green Grid’s Data Center Maturity Model; Invisible Opportunity: Tapping IT Expertise for Green Leadership and The Solution to Avoiding e-Waste Recycling.

According to the schedule released by BrightTALK, the topics to be covered on the following days encompass Efficient Data Center and best practices to maintain efficiency and how to achieve certification. The Web cast on Green Building will provide details on green building technologies, smart buildings and smart grids.

BrightTALK revealed plans to present case studies on business engagement with water policy; and why water is a critical issue.

The efficacy of such measures is emphasized by John Stanley (News - Alert) from The 451 Group who said, “If we can use technology, creativity, and good management to deliver more IT service to customers with less energy, a lot of the industry’s CSR (News - Alert) 0—and financial—challenges start to solve themselves.”

The global presenters who will make presentations include officials from organizations like AkzoNobel, AltaTerra Research, Autodesk, Citi Global Operations and Technology, Data Center Pulse, Forrester (News - Alert) Research, KPMG, Oracle, Pacific Institute, NASA, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, PMI New Media Council, SNIA, State Street Corporation, The 451 Group, The Green Grid (News - Alert), Uptime Institute and others.
