Perseus Telecom has provided a high-speed connection to Palladium Energy in Manaus, Brazil, which is located in the heart of Amazonia, the largest tropical rainforest on earth.
Palladium Energy's Manaus manufacturing site was seeking a better connection to increase its productivity. The company selected Perseus Telecom to accomplish its production goal.
Palladium Energy bought an MPLS network from a top-tier carrier. However, the company faced poor performance as the solution caused slow access and lost productivity.
To find a solution to their network troubles, Palladium Energy contacted BlackWire Consulting Group (BCG), which contacted Perseus Telecom after several tests to determine the best network solution. Todd Hawes, IT director at Palladium Energy, said the company thought that the only viable solution was satellite, then BCG recommended Perseus Telecom.
“They have solved our problem and we now have a fast, stable and cost-efficient solution,” Hawes said.
BCG said that it selected Perseus Telecom because of their ability to provide global network solutions across multiple fiber asset providers. “Due to Perseus Telecom's improved network solution, Palladium Energy is now able to take advantage of new applications and productivity,” said Salvatore Orefiche, CEO at BCG.
“Perseus Telecom was able to offer Palladium 4X the amount of bandwidth than what they originally requested at a lower cost. Perseus and BCG managed the provisioning of the circuit and it was installed, tested and in use within 90 days,” said Dr. Jock Percy, CEO at Perseus Telecom.
Perseus Telecom is a global provider of telecommunications that works with fiber asset providers and technology owners to provide its clients with the right network solution at the right price.
Earlier this year, the company announced that they provide the fastest connection between NYSE Euronext at Interxion (News - Alert) in the United Kingdom and Deutsche Bourse in Frankfurt, Germany.
