Eltek announced that its 48V Flatpack2 High Efficiency (HE) and V-Series High Efficiency power supply products have achieved the ENERGY STAR (News - Alert) award for compliance with new high energy-efficiency standards.

The ENERGY STAR program includes telecom DC power system applications under the new Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) category, making them suitable for use in data centers and in telecommunication applications.
The ENERGY STAR label helps U.S. consumers identify and purchase products that meet stipulations issued by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy.
Eltek is a specialist in developing power systems suitable for telecommunications, industrial applications and renewable energy projects. Its 48V Flatpack2 HE and V-Series HE products rank among the first DC UPS product components to earn the ENERGY STAR.
To achieve this distinction, products have to satisfy all eligibility criteria, performance requirements, and pass tests conducted by an EPA-approved certification laboratory.
According to officials, the Eltek 48V Flatpack2 HE is designed to have horizontal front-to-back airflow and chassis-integrated heat sinks so that it can be stacked one on top of other to ensure maximum rectifier efficiency.
As heat generation is reduced, energy waste is controlled making the solution cost effective.
Similarly, the optimized design of the V Series HE rectifier modules enhances power density and efficiency in a 2RU footprint. It’s suitable for compact and integrated DC Power Systems and can be used outside the plant, in wireless communications and in enterprise applications.
As the product reduces the thermal load, it delivers reliable performance.
Recently, Eltek announced the signing of a frame agreement to design and supply very high-efficiency power systems for the next generation of front-end power solutions with one of the global leaders and strongest brands in the data center business.
