Eltek AS, a specialist in providing high-efficiency power systems for telecommunications, industrial applications and renewable energy projects, has launched the Eltek Network Utility (ENU), a PC-based application.

The program, designed by Eltek, helps to simplify the managing and updating of complex power system networks.

Specializing in HE power systems, Eltek caters to the needs of renewable energy markets, like that of photovoltaic grid inverters and chargers for electric vehicles.

Morten Schøyen, chief marketing officer at Eltek, said, “With a rapidly growing number of power systems in our customers’ networks, we have seen the demand for tools that simplify the operation and maintenance of these networks.”

“The Eltek Network Utility is a powerful tool that enables the operator to search and identify all Eltek controllers within a network and perform operations like bulk configuration and updates to the latest functionality,” Schøyen added.

Officials explained that network management is critical for telecom operators, as well as in managing power systems within the telecom networks. The functionality and communication options available in power controllers can be used to create and address the total internal network.

In such applications, Eltek Network Utility will serve as an advanced tool that helps users save on time and provide a secure operational overview, added officials.

Recently, Eltek announced that its THEIA HE-t grid tie solar inverters have been qualified for inclusion in the Emerging Renewables Program (ERP) by the California Energy Commission (News - Alert). The inverter features peak efficiency of up to 97 percent, the highest for single-phase, isolated inverters.

The testing and achievement of eligibility for the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) ERP verifies that Eltek’s THEIA HE-t 2.0KW, 2.9KW, 3.8KW and 4.4KW transformer-isolated inverters deliver performance that meets or exceeds expectations for renewable energy devices used in grid-connected photovoltaic systems.

Also, to assess inverter operation and performance efficiency, the CEC evaluation tests cover maximum power point tracking (MPPT) accuracy, photovoltaic array utilization, voltage and current operating windows, and the AC grid interface.
