China VoIP & Digital Telecom (News - Alert) subsidiary Jinan Yinquan Technology Co. announced the Shandong Information Industry Department (IID) has thrown its support behind the company’s virtualization project.
The IID issued an official policy acknolwedging Yinquan as the only “government-designated company” able to implement virtualization projects in Shangdong Province. The IID will provide full support in promoting the technology in the province.
"The virtualization solution provided by Yinquan is a Green IT concept that helps businesses as well as governments to improve IT efficiency and reduce costs.” said Li Kunwu, chairman and CEO of CVDT. “Yinquan maintains a leading position in virtualization technology, and the government's support will accelerate our expansion in the virtualization market in 2009."
In addition to its policy support, according to the organization, IID will organize a meeting of CIOs from both government agencies and businesses in order to market Yinquan's virtualization technology solutions. IID will also provide funding to governmental departments which adopt Yinquan's solutions.
Yinquan began to market virtualization solution in Shandong last year and has signed six customers, including IID, Jinan Information Industry Bureau, and Shandong Province Inspection & Test Bureau of Electronic Products.
China VoIP & Digital Telecom Inc. offers Voice Over the Internet Protocol (VoIP) telecommunications services in the People's Republic of China through its wholly owned subsidiary Jinan Yinquan Technology Co., Ltd.
Through Jinan Yinquan, China VoIP says it is positioned to take advantage of the economic growth currently being experienced in China. The company is currently marketing its NP Soft Switch system in China and is in the testing stage of other information technology products.
