HCM Expert Week in Review: Workplace Transformation Continues

A new study that looks at “digital winners” when it comes to today’s organizations, has uncovered that only 16 percent of global organizations qualify to fit this description, which means employees are equipped with technology to make data driven decisions and are a digitally skilled workforce.

The Leaders2020 study by Oxford Economics and SAP (News - Alert) looked at what it takes to achieve this and prepare for the digital economy.

Among these statistics Texas rated the lowest. Even as companies in the state make progress there is still a giant lack for leadership and digital skills in its workforce.

Another report this week looks more closely at HCM and how it is helping to bring technology and people together.

The U.K. is one region struggling to keep up in terms of productivity of its workers and HCM could be a major help. Focusing on the increasing number of mobile users, businesses can make things like benefits information and other communications for business tasks available via users’ smartphones to keep them engaged and productive.

And even with better tools and communications efficiency for our workforce – there is still a big chance they will burn out. A new project, Thrive Global, by Arianna Huffington is looking to tackle stress in the workplace by keeping tabs on what’s frustrating workers and even discusses an e-commerce platform with products that can help.

The latest products to be offered are from Humanscale and feature ergonomically designed chairs and other office equipment support to ease the strain and stress from sitting and performing office related tasks.

Finally, this week we looked at how Fintech and HCM are related and how the two can help transform how organizations staff and hire in the future.  Making things like real-time decision making and data driven analytics a reality.
