CSR (News - Alert), a provider of wireless technologies including Bluetooth, FM, GPS, NFC and WiFi, announced it has implemented Treasury Management System (TMS) from Salmon Software to manage foreign exchange and cash positions.
“We are a truly global company and we required a Treasury Management System (TMS) that helps us manage, access and track our cross border transactions and cash positions effectively,” said Mark Jennings, treasurer, CSR, in a statement. “Salmon Software was able to deliver and quickly implement world class TMS at a price that makes sense.”
CSR is a pioneer of single-chip Bluetooth wireless silicon. Its solutions are used across a wide range of products in the mobile, consumer electronics, automotive, PC, health and home entertainment sectors. The company reported revenues of over $800 million in 2010.
Earlier last year, CSR announced wide-ranging platform support for the freshly-ratified HFP 1.6 Bluetooth profile, which includes Wideband Speech – commonly known as High-Definition (HD) voice.
The company also announced the launch of a comprehensive suite of solutions for OEMs to create a new generation of wireless mice, keyboards, remote controls and other Bluetooth Smart devices, operable on a single set of batteries for the life of the product.
The new range of semiconductors, reference designs and software development kits (SDK) allows the development of Bluetooth Smart Ready PCs, tablets and mobile handsets for use with Smart devices, allowing OEMs to more quickly and easily bring their new products to market, in order to capitalize on the new opportunities this technology offers.
Salmon Treasurer from Salmon Software manages all aspects of Treasury Management both locally and globally, many in real time and across a wide range of financial instruments. The company has over a 25-year track record in implementing cost effective global foreign exchange solutions. It works with international blue chip companies including Airbus, DP World, Securitas and Fexco.
“As one of the few remaining independent treasury management system companies in the world we are committed to delivering what is best for our customers, at the most cost effective price, and within a short timeframe,” said John Byrne, CEO, Salmon Software, in a statement.
The company recently launched a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News
- Alert)) Treasury Management System product under the brand name TGold. The SaaS model will benefit treasuries that need to handle significantly low volume of transactions.
“Our investment in R&D and latest technology means we can deliver best in market TMS solutions faster and at keener prices,” Byrne added. “We at Salmon are committed to technical excellence and customer satisfaction in the field of Treasury and Treasury Management Systems and Treasury Workstations.”
