Russia- based Internet company, Yandex has announced the release of a subscription music app for the iPhone (News - Alert).

Integrated with the Yandex.Music service, this latest app allows mobile users to save their favorite compositions in the app for offline listening. The Web-based Yandex (News - Alert).Music service allows streaming from its online catalogue of over three million tracks.

Thanks to this latest offering, users can now manage their playlists from any device. Company officials said that automatically, all changes are synchronized between the app and desktop accounts.

A free music streaming service, Yandex.Music offers access to licensed music published on the Internet. According to company officials, on Yandex.Music users can find and listen to songs and entire albums from both Russian and foreign artists. It contains more than 800,000 licensed recordings from a wide range of genres, all of which can be listened to “absolutely” free of charge.

The multi-function iPhone is a highly popular device and app developers find it technologically flexible. These factors make development of applications for the iPhone a rage among developers. The latest app from Yandex for iPhone will be available to users in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Company officials said the Yandex.Music app can be downloaded from Apple's (News - Alert) AppStore.

 Yandex operates Russia’s popular search engine and the most visited Website. In addition, the company also operates in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Turkey.

Earlier this year, Yandex partnered with Twitter (News - Alert) to “significantly” boost the site’s real-time user searches, in hopes of extending its popularity to overtake competitors like Google (News - Alert).
