Turtle Beach, specializing in gaming headset category and audio technology, has joined hands with Nintendo to supply an officially licensed line of Wii U gaming headsets for a yet to be released gaming console.

“The Wii U launch will be one of the biggest new game console events of the year and we couldn’t be more excited to support Wii U with a line of headsets,” Bob Picunko, chief marketing officer of Turtle Beach said. “The advanced capabilities of the upcoming Wii U allow us to take full advantage of the technology we’ve developed and deliver gamers the kind of quality they fully expect from both Turtle Beach and Nintendo.”

The agreement entails Turtle Beach to deliver a line of licensed headsets for Nintendo’s Wii U game with built-in chat functionality. These headsets are expected to be compatible with portable devices like the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system and the Nintendo DS hand-held system. Turtle Beach will offer Wii U gamers entry level headsets at competitive price points, revealed officials.

Turtle Beach also announced that it is introducing its new fall lineup at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). It is showcasing new products and a dedicated theater featuring an immersive audio experience.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force theater experience is a unique and innovative audio presentation that demonstrates the importance of audio in the gaming experience. A custom system utilizing a 270-degree screen, three projectors and headset integration highlights Turtle Beach’s advanced audio, added officials.

Turtle Beach specializes in the design and marketing of premium audio peripherals for video game, personal computer, and mobile platforms. The company’s devices include Ear Force gaming headphones and headsets that are specially crafted for Xbox 360 and PS3 game consoles and PC games.
