Sennheiser, a manufacturer of audio equipment headquartered in Wedemark, Germany, has named Canford as one of its supply partners in the United Kingdom. The partnership will give Canford the ability to supply Sennheiser ProAudio equipment to resellers, installers and professional product users.

“This is an exciting development for Canford and Sennheiser customers,” stated Dave Holloway, Canford’s director of marketing. “The appointment recognizes our ability to fully support trade custom from across the Broadcast, System Integrator and AV sectors.”

“Sennheiser customers switching their business to Canford will also have access to our complete range of over 15,000 products, many of which are held in stock, next day delivery, no minimum order value and low free shipping threshold. Over the coming days, Canford intends to make direct contact with those customers that Sennheiser has identified for us to discuss how Canford can best service their account,” he added

The German audio manufacturer’s move to partner with Canford was portrayed as the result of significant U.K. business growth and the introduction of centralized European stock management by the ProAudio company.

Sennheiser’s ProAudio line includes both wired and wireless microphone systems, conference systems, tour guide systems, professional headphones and headsets (including aviation headsets) and audiology solutions.

The Canford Group provides a wealth of knowledge and products from the entire spectrum of audio, video and data hardware as well as infrastructure products. Canford exports about one-quarter of its output.

Additionally, the British audio distributor publishes a catalog called “The Source (News - Alert)” that is a fixture on the shelves of broadcast engineers, theater technicians and system integrators of all kinds. The 45th edition of “The Source” enjoys a print run of about 35,000 copies in the U.K. and consists of 1,500 full-color pages.

“Trade customers migrating from a direct relationship with Sennheiser will also benefit from Canford's free technical support service, significant UK stock holding and trade account pricing,” said Stephen Gallagher, Canford’s product manager. “When it comes to sales and support of Sennheiser Pro Audio products Canford has a wealth of knowledge having been a major distribution partner of the brand for over two decades.”
