Jumbuck Entertainment has announced the availability of its mobile chat-and-flirt service, called Power Chat, for users of BlackBerry smartphones.

 

Users of Power Chat from BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones can now access a diverse mobile community consisting of millions of people around the world, including people who are not using a BlackBerry smartphone, according to company officials.

 

Adrian Risch, CEO at Jumbuck Entertainment, said that in working with wireless carriers the company has been “very successfully” connecting millions of chatters worldwide. He added that now they have added BlackBerry smartphone users to the dynamic Power Chat mobile community.

 

With Power Chat, users can “immediately” access a massive mobile community for chatting and sharing photos, Risch said. Power Chat features public chat rooms – including themed rooms labelled as “flirt, singles, friends, dating, world chat, and also regional and age-specific rooms.

 

Power Chat allows users to check out other chatters’ photos in chat rooms, and they can also select a chatter to see profile information and more photos. Also, users can send messages directly to that chatter.

 

In addition to allowing one-to-one chat, Power Chat enables users to keep a track of friends and see when the favorite chatters are online. Also, users can upload photos stored on the BlackBerry smartphone or take an instant photo for upload. Officials said that public rooms and photos are moderated by Jumbuck to protect the chatters.

 

Currently, the carriers that are offering Jumbuck’s Power Chat include AT&T (News - Alert), Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltel, Bell Mobility, Rogers, Telus and Virgin Mobile.

 

Power Chat is now available to BlackBerry smartphone users as a download on BlackBerry App World.
