HulloMail reportedly announced the availability of a new, upgraded version of its integrated BlackBerry (News - Alert) app on the BlackBerry App world micro-site. The app will be available for free download also from the HulloMail Web site.
With the new app, HulloMail, the creators of “voice-email” technology, expect to change the way wireless consumers access and manage their voice messages. HulloMail converts standard voicemails into digital MP3 files, which can be permanently saved, e-mailed, shared, referenced and enjoyed. It offers wireless users a fast and easy way to manage their voicemail communications from virtually any mobile device, standard landline phone or e-mail account irrespective of the operator.
The service is preferred over traditional voicemail as the new voice-e-mails offer advanced e-mail and address book contact integration capabilities.
The HulloMail BlackBerry app is feature-rich and is optimized for BlackBerry users who own BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Tour or BlackBerry Curve 8900 models, company sources said. The convenience and functionality features include the ability to upload contacts from large address books up to 50 at a time and the ability to upload second home number and work number from a user’s contact database where available.
Other benefits include improved handling of a weak network connection, added service alerts in the form of pop-up dialogs which notifies users regarding upgrades and important consumer information. More progress indicators have been included which communicate background operations details. New translated error codes are delivered in terms which can be easily understood by the user, said company officials in a news release.
The upgraded features to the 1.0.3 version provide more robust capabilities and ease-of-use to HulloMail BlackBerry users. The message synching capabilities with e-mail compliant accounts like Gmail MobileMe and Exchange are further enhanced with the addition of HulloMail integration with Google (News - Alert) contacts.
HulloMail is a fast and flexible way to use voicemail from any mobile device, standard land line or e-mail account. It includes all the features of e-mail and creates more efficient “voice-emails” which are optimized replacements to existing voicemail enabling enhanced levels of communication and functionality.
The app is available for BlackBerry and Android (News - Alert) formats and the company plans to add an iPhone compatible format soon, company officials said.
