AnyDATA DTP-600W 3G HSPA Module Receives Carrier and Agency Certification

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

AnyDATA – a designer and manufacturer of wireless communications devices -- has announced that its DTP-600W 3G HSPA broadband module has been authorized by AT&T (News - Alert) and Vodafone for use in their wireless data networks.

Additionally, it has also received global certification for connected devices from various agencies such as PTCRB (News - Alert), CE and GCF.

The DTP-600W is the company’s new HSDPA module that is capable of offering extraordinary data speed enhancements for applications utilizing both upload and download speed. Armed with the technology, AnyDATA (News - Alert) reps said mobile users will enjoy fast browsing of web sites and other rich media with higher graphic quality. The module had already passed rigorous field testing in multiple locations in the United States and globally.

AnyDATA said that the module’s smaller size and powerful feature set makes it the ideal choice for advanced mobile Internet devices and allows for easy handling of demanding applications.

According to the company, DTP-600 excels in the important criteria for selecting an embedded module – reliability, cost, performance and size. It can support download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps eliminating latency and improving user satisfaction.

The module format is a mini PCIE card which enables device manufacturers to utilize a standard 52 pin interface for embedded communications capability. The HSPA module operates globally on tri-band UMTS 850/1900/2100 wireless networks as well as quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks.

Soon B. Shin, CEO of AnyDATA, said that the comapny had built this cellular module to provide state-of-the-art, yet low-cost, wireless data communications for a wide array of devices, ranging from consumer netbooks to connected personal navigation or mobile Internet devices, such as smartphones.

It can also be integrated into smart utility meters for remote monitoring as well as embedding in vehicles for interactive multimedia communications. Their customers have been seeking a reliable, small 3G wireless module that works globally and, based on initial reviews, the new module has exceeded their reliability and performance expectations.

The AnyDATA 3G broadband module is built on Qualcomm’s Single Chip (QSC) QSC6270 solution. Qualcomm (News - Alert) has stated that it worked closely with AnyDATA on the certification of the DTP-600W module and are excited about the new opportunities that exist for wireless.

Recently AnyDATA launched Personal Care Device and unveiled new 3G EVDO and HSPA modules.
