What’s more, this new device includes built-in GPS with BlackBerry Maps and geo-tagging functionality, stereo bluetooth support, HTML web browsing, 256 MB of internal flash memory, a two-megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording and expandable storage memory via microSD/SDHC slot supporting up to 32 GB.

“Alltel (News - Alert) takes pride in bringing the most advanced and versatile handsets to our customers so they can experience the world around them,” said Paul Bowersock, senior sales and operations leader for the Alltel Divesture Trust. “If you’re looking for a smartphone that has advanced capabilities for both business and personal use, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 will help you make the most of every moment.”

Alltel is currently offering the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 Smartphone through its retail stores and online at http://www.shopalltel.com for $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with activation of a 1-year service contract and qualifying Smart Choice Pack.

Users have an option to select their package which starts as low as $69.99 per month for Smart Choice Packs that include unlimited data, email and Web access.

According to Alltel it’s the only major wireless carrier to offer 2-year post-paid handset pricing to those signing 1-year contracts, creating enhanced flexibility and greater choice for customers.
