IMT Delivers Wireless Solutions for Turkmenistan TV Tower

Integrated Microwave Technologies (News - Alert) (IMT) has delivered its Nucomm CamPac2 and Newscaster DR2 wireless equipment for the Ashgabat Tower.

Ashgabat Tower is a major television tower in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The Ashgabat Tower project comprises a total of 13 television studios and 50 editing suites.

This sophisticated broadcast complex is very popular and is home to seven television stations and six radio stations.

IMT is a Business Unit within the Vitec Group’s Videocom Division, and a leader in advanced digital microwave systems serving the broadcast, sports and entertainment and MAG (military, aerospace and government) markets.

The company notes that its Nucomm CamPac2 transmitters and Newscaster DR2 receiving systems are easy-to-use solutions for fully portable HD camera systems.

Nucomm CamPac2 and Newscaster DR2 enable the OB cameras to go anywhere delivering glitch free sports, entertainment or news images.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of this exciting and prestigious project,” said Integrated Microwave Technologies divisional chief executive Stephen Shpock. “We are offering a tremendous solution that allows users to operate their outside broadcast trucks in and around Turkmenistan.”

The Ashgabat Tower is also leveraging a Nucomm Central Receive Solution, which enables the OB vehicles to transmit their pictures back to the television studio live, without requiring satellite airtime.

IMT emphasizes that the free to use Nucomm’s Central Receive Solution is a great investment for any television station thanks to features such as ranges of more than 100 miles.

Nucomm’s Central Receive Solution can be used as a primary video feed, or backup to a satellite uplink, and promises delivery of many years of smooth outside broadcast airtime.
