MediaTile, DFI TECH Unveil Digital Signage Systems

MediaTile, a provider of 3G and 4G cloud-based digital signage solutions, and DFI TECH, a provider of design, manufacturing and integration of custom computer solutions, today unveiled two new interactive digital signage systems that will allow brands and retailers to offer customers on-demand experts located in the cloud, according to marketwire.com.

The solution reduces the frustration customers often feel trying to get what they need from customer service reps and features viewer engagement and remote personal service capabilities using the MediaCast Video Presence System, according to youtube.com.

Through the MediaCast Video Presence system and high-bandwidth 4G networks, product or subject-matter experts are now available to consumers with the touch of a button to deliver personal service, and provide answers to specific, detail-oriented product questions regardless of language or out-of-home location barriers, according to the story on marketwire.com. This new industry is called digital out-of-home (DOOH).

The solution’s new 22" and 42" portrait-mode systems are custom-designed interactive hardware systems from DFI TECH, based on MediaTile's HUMANKIOSK, which uses high-bandwidth 4G network services from cellular carriers to facilitate live, two-way video for face-to-face conversations between consumers and remote "in-the-cloud" subject matter experts, according to the story on marketwire.com.

The HUMANKIOSK, powered by MediaCast Video Presence, is a 4G-enabled, interactive digital signage solution that can run scheduled interactive digital promotions to attract viewers, while also providing a live, two-way video session between a consumer and a remote expert agent, according to mediatile.com.   Now, consumers can get direct, accurate and immediate answers to their questions when and where it matters most – even in their native language, according to MediaTile.com.

Pepsico is one company trying out DOOH in its ad mix, according to adweek.com. In 2010 the company signed a multi-year, multibrand agreement with Gas Station TV to promote several of its beverages at the gas pump.

"DFI TECH's new offerings provide an innovative two-way interactive digital signage solution in an elegant ergonomic design that can be easily integrated into consumer-facing displays for customers such brands, retailers, and banks,” said Andy Lu, director of business development at DFI TECH, in the story at marketwire.com.
