Aspera (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of software technologies for transport of digital assets or data, will be demonstrating next-generation cloud storage access solution and latest file sharing, content distribution and automation frameworks at an upcoming conference.
Aspera will be showcasing its next-generation file sharing, content distribution and automation frameworks that leverage the company’s patented fasp transport platform for high-speed, secure global data delivery.
Aspera's fasp protocol dramatically accelerates transfers over public and private IP networks. Eliminating the fundamental bottlenecks of conventional file transfer technologies such as FTP, HTTP, and Windows CIFS, it has a unique approach that achieves perfect throughput efficiency, independent of the latency of the path and is robust to packet losses. It utilizes an automatic adaptive rate control to fully utilize available bandwidth while remaining fair to other traffic.
Aspera’s On-Demand S3|Direct is a solution that enables for high-speed cloud storage access. According to the company, it initiated the enablement of data- and processing-intensive workflows in the cloud with its high-speed transport capabilities, available on-demand.
In addition, the Aspera On-Demand S3|Direct overcomes the WAN and I/O bottlenecks to completely utilize the available bandwidth and achieve improvements of up to 10 times the typical transfer speeds of available cloud transfer solutions per virtual machine instance.
Aspera will also be demonstrating universal file-based collaboration, which is powered by the company’s faspex. The faspex facilitates individuals and groups to collaborate quickly and efficiently by exchanging files and directories of any size and format over global distances at high speed.
Apart from Aspera Shares 1.0, the company will also demonstrate Aspera Orchestrator, which provides an open development framework for designing and integrating highly predictable and efficient file processing and automation pipelines.
Aspera Shares 1.0 is the base for the next generation of Aspera's web applications, integrated with faspex for delivery and Console - for centralized visibility, tracking and management.
The Aspera Sync, which is now available for both Windows and Linux, will also be demonstrated at the event. It is a new software engine designed for highly scalable, multidirectional file replication and synchronization.
