- Alert) Inc. recently announced the availability of the TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV, which will once again allow DIRECTV to experience the international TiVo service which has now streamlined with their DIRECTV service.
In a release, David Sandford, vice president and general manager of TiVo's service provider business, said that, “DIRECTV customers nationwide can now experience the TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV, which combines TiVo's award-winning user interface with DIRECTV's great line-up of HD programming. With the introduction of this product, DIRECTV customers can again experience TiVo's gold-standard interface, easy-to-use peanut remote and Swivel Search feature, which allow users to effortlessly find their favorite shows in HD across television and on DIRECTV CINEMA.”
TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV allows users to set Season Pass Recordings which means recording of the favorite shows of the user will be carried out automatically on a weekly basis so the user does not have to worry about missing even a single episode.
The user also has the option of setting up automatic recordings of TV shows and movies based on keywords such as the name of their favorite actor or sports team or even record programs covering their area of interest. Users can leverage the intuitive TiVo Suggestions feature which discovers the user’s favorite shows and then automatically records similar programs providing wider selection of programs.
TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV can easily locate the user’s favorite shows in HD across television and over DIRECTV Cinema. The service can record two shows at one time and also record up to 100 hours of HD programming and or record up to 400 hours of SD shows. Additionally, TiVo HD DVR from DIRECTV allows users access to over 7,000 on-demand movies and shows at no additional charges.

DIRECTV has a long-standing reputation for offering our customers the best in advanced programming and services and they now have even more DVR options with this new TiVo-enabled platform.”
