VIVOTEK recently announced that it is launching the PT8133/33W, which is a new, improved and advanced version of the PT7135/37. The new release will now add to its series of user-friendly pan/tilt network cameras.
The 1.0-Megapixel PT8133/33W, which has been designed with an elegant form, has a diameter of 100 mm and a length of120 mm. The flexible 350-degree pan and 125-degree tilt of the PT8133/33W provides users with more control over monitored site and can deliver remote monitoring via 3GPP. Additionally, the PT8133/33W comes with a built-in microphone and offers advanced motion and tampering detection capabilities.
In a release, William Ku, director of the Brand Business Division at VIVOTEK, said that, “The PT8133/33W is perfect for indoor surveillance. With high quality 720p video, vertical markets such as retail, commercial or residential can benefit a great deal from the PT8133/33W. The pan/tilt mechanism enables users to pan or tilt the lens to their region of interest via a computer mouse or smart phone touch screen or interface.”
Incorporating the H.264 compression technology, The PT8133/33W has been designed to be compatible with MPEG-4 as well as MJPEG. And although both the PT8133W and PT7137 versions have been designed as wireless models, the PT8133W features a WPS button that enables easy configuration and 802.11n which allows easy data transmission. The PT8133 also supports the standard 802.3af PoE.
The VIVOTEK PT7135/37, which is an older version of the pan/tilt camera series, has been popular within the industry and was even recognized with the Symbol of Excellence Award, and has had the distinction of being awarded the Outstanding IT Application/Product title by the Taipei Computer Association. The company is expecting a phase out of the PT7135/37 in 2012.
Furthermore, the VIVOTEK PT8133/33W series deliver ONVIF 1.02 support and offer a viewing resolution of 1280x800 at 30 fps. The new version of pan/tilt cameras have been made available via multiple distribution partners.
In other news from December 2011, VIVOTEK IP8151/51P, IP8162/62P, IP8332, IP8352, IP8362, FD8134, FD8362/62E and SD8362E network cameras are now listed in Milestone Systems' latest hardware support announcement for XProtect Device Pack 5.7.
