Zecotek Photonics’s chairman, president and CEO, Dr. A.F. Zerrouk, will participate as a guest speaker at the InfoComm Projection Summit, scheduled to be held in the second week of June. The summit provides an opportunity to learn about the technology and market forces that are shaping the Pro-AV and consumer markets.
The tenth annual Projection Summit is expected to attract more than 28,000 attendees from over 70 countries. At this executive-level conference, industry and media leaders can learn about the key trends and issues shaping the Pro-AV and consumer markets.
In a key note session on auto-stereoscopic displays, Zerrouk will discuss Zecotek’s glasses-free 3D Display System. He said that the company’s auto-stereoscopic 3D display does not require viewers to wear glasses.
Zerrouk said that the 3D effect is produced using the widest possible number of views as it offers a natural viewing experience when compared to systems currently offered for 3D television and other consumer based monitors.
“As such, this patented technology presents a potential breakthrough technology for the wider use of 3D in a variety of industrial, scientific, commercial and security applications,” Zerrouk said.
Zecotek Photonics is a photonics technology company developing high-performance crystals, photo detectors, medical lasers, optical imaging and 3D display technologies for commercial applications in the medical diagnostics and high-tech industry.
Recently, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted patent number 7,944,465 to Zecotek’s glasses-free auto-stereoscopic 3D display system. The company has now been granted patents for this system in the U.S. and Australia. Additional patents are pending in Japan, China, Korea, India, Russia and major countries in Europe.
