Jamcracker Unveils Jamcracker Platform Enterprise Edition

TMCnet Contributor

Although cloud services offer unprecedented cost savings and other benefits to companies, deploying and managing them can be an issue. So, to address the growing problems associated with ad hoc cloud service adoption within corporate networks, Jamcracker (News - Alert) has announced the Jamcracker Platform Enterprise Edition.

The Jamcracker Platform includes unified cloud management dashboards that provide detailed reports on usage that allow enterprise IT departments to perform various functions.

With the help of Jamcracker Platform, IT departments can act as cloud service brokers and offer any combination of cloud-based services to their organization including private and public IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (News - Alert) (Software as a Service) solutions. The Jamcracker Platform allows IT organizations to offer a catalogue of aggregated services with unified provisioning, access control, administration, auditing, monitoring, support, and departmental chargebacks to enable enterprises to unify command and control for disparate cloud services.

"Many larger enterprises are struggling with the unauthorized and decentralized adoption of cloud services and are looking for a solution to control and manage these in the same way they manage traditional IT assets," said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing and business development for Jamcracker. "The Jamcracker Platform enables IT departments to consolidate the delivery and management of private and public cloud services."

Offering IT with unprecedented visibility and control at the enterprise as well as at the department or line of business level, the Jamcracker Platform aggregates and delivers all cloud services from one integrated infrastructure. IT departments can centrally and consistently manage multiple cloud offerings from a single management interface.

In June 2008, the company announced the release of MSP LaunchPad, an "out of the box" set of on-demand services and software for Value Added Resellers (VARs) that want to enter the Managed Services Provider (MSP) business. MSP LaunchPad is a complete business process for MSPs. It features an array of hosted service delivery tools, back-office/front-office infrastructure services, and on-demand technical support services.
