Motorola i1, World's First Android-powered Smartphone with Nextel Direct Connect, Will Be Available from July 25

Sprint (News - Alert) is a well known provider of push-to-talk technology having experience of over 17 years. The company offers service to the biggest push-to-talk community in the world. The community has millions of Nextel Direct Connect subscribers on the rapidly growing push-to-talk network in the country.


Motorola (News - Alert) i1 has a robust body construction that adheres to military specifications. Thus, it gives protection against dust, shock, vibration and blowing rain. It provides the Android (News - Alert) 1.5 operating system. Office and private information such as emails, calendar appointments and contacts are automatically synchronized by Motorola i1.

Motorola i1 when merged with the built-in Wi-Fi capabilities enables users to get a better understanding of what is happening both personally and professionally. There are a few applications that help users to complete the work while staying connected to friends via Facebook (News - Alert) or Tweeting using an easily customizable Twitter app like Touiteur. Those applications include Scan2PDF Mobile 2.0, Unit Converter – ConvertPad and RealCalc Scientific Calculator etc.

Moreover, Sprint partner applications that are available for businesses on the Motorola i1, such as Xora, TeleNavTrack and Sprint Mobile locator are available.

Motorola i1 has several special features, such as access to wel known business tools such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Document Viewer and corporate sync, guaranteeing that Word or PowerPoint files can be accessed while traveling, easy message entry and a 5 megapixel camera with flash, geo-tagging and panoramic capabilities.

The Android browser enables users to view web pages and Flash 8-enabled sites in full view using Wi-Fi, and the newest Opera Mini 5 browser permits fast browsing over the Nextel National Network and Wi-Fi
