AppShark utilized CoSentry’s cloud computing services to deploy its UBS hosted exchange platform. The CoSentry Enterprise Cloud has helped accelerate and complete the deployment of the UBS hosted exchange platform within four weeks.
The UBS platform is offered as a Software-as-a-Service, a new solution that combines three services: SMS texting, Desktop Notification, and Digital Broadcasting.
In a press release, Cris Freiwald, vice president and general manager of CoSentry Northern Region, said, "We are pleased to provide AppShark with the Secure Cloud Services they require, it was a pleasure to work with their technical team and see a successful launch of their application in a relative short period."
The UBS hosted exchange platform caters to numerous industries and nonprofit sectors, of which retail and the educational sectors are two main customers. This Appshark solution is used by Colleges and Universities to broadcast important messages that require instant attention to digital devices, desktops and mobile devices of students, teachers and staff.
Retail companies use the UBS hosted exchange platform for interactive SMS texting and digital broadcasting. Retail chains use digital broadcasting on large screens, in one or more outlets, to inform customers about sales promotions, special sales, and other important customer engagement activities. The Interactive SMS Texting functionality enables the retail store staff to interact with customers by sending SMS either to a single user at a time or to a group of users at a time.
Jack Pereira, managing director Americas of AppShark stated that "UBS is a cost-effective way for organizations to reach large groups of people with important messages through texting or displayed on-demand on any digital screen. The cloud solution now at CoSentry will be scalable to expand with our business across North and South America and offers the highest level of resilience and disaster recovery."
