MetaVis Technologies, Inc. has released a free version of MetaVis Migrator for Office 365 which will enable users and administrators to migrate content to the cloud.

- Alert) Gold certified ISV that develops software to help organize SharePoint 2010, 2007, 2003, BPOS, and Office 365 environments for improved search and e-discovery.
The solutions provided by MetaVis simplify designing, deploying and managing of content within SharePoint by offering migration, change control, taxonomy and metadata management software and services. The easy to use and install MetaVis products are based on intuitive, graphical interfaces, said company sources.
According to company sources the program provides Office 365 users with a one gigabyte license to migrate content from SharePoint 2010, 2007, 2003, BPOS (S & D), file systems, exchange public folders or Outlook to Office 365 SharePoint.
The program will expire on May 31, 2011 or when the one GB limit is reached. Also additional license options are available said officials.
Officials stated that MetaVis Migrator for Office 365 facilitates migration to Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint in addition to being able to retain critical metadata like created and modified properties required for governance policies.
The solution is agentless and requires five minutes to install on any workstation. MetaVis also helps users to quickly migrate entire sites, lists, libraries, content, etc. to Office 365. MetaVis Migrator for Office 365 also supports migration from premise-based or hosted SharePoint, BPOS, file systems, Exchange or Outlook to Office 365. It does not need server side installs for both source and target system.

In October 2010, MetaVis introduced MetaVis Change Control and Release Manager (CCRM) which helps clients to manage and automate changes between SharePoint development, staging and production environments.
