BluPointe has released its e-mail archiving solutions for complete data recovery in situations when disaster occurs and database-level backup of hosted Exchange is not enough.
The company’s Mailbox, PST File and Public Folder Archiving solution provides an administrator-driven solution, which has been designed to selectively move or copy messages from Exchange mailboxes, PST files, and public folders to any storage device visible to the application -- through the network, said company officials.
The archiving program helps companies with storage and compliance requirements, said company officials. In addition, it also offers a flexible archiving architecture that eliminates the need for proprietary hardware or a SQL database.
Moreover, BluPointe’s e-mail archiving also serves its clients’ needs with indexing and storing solutions. These solutions offer an auditing function to store logs in a tamper-proof fashion.
Company officials said that clients can archive data from hosted Exchange mailboxes, public folders and PST files; archive from the Exchange Journal mailbox to meet compliance regulations; eliminate PST files by automating their discovery, identifying their owners and importing their data into the archives.
In addition, they can also archive contacts, calendar entries, notes, tasks and journal entries in addition to emails; and customize archiving policies to specific mailboxes, entire hosted Exchange servers or specific AD groups.
The company’s e-mail archiving Compliance Features include archiving capabilities for specific users and departments; specific content based on keywords; and also all incoming and outgoing messages from the journal mailbox in native format.
With BluPointe’s e-mail archiving software, businesses can maintain audit trails of all activity within an archive. Plus, they can also enforce retention on archived data, allowing information to be purged, automatically, when it is no longer needed, said company officials. The e-mail archiving software provides smart automation and feature management.
Leveraging smart algorithms, the BluPointe e-mail archiving architecture efficiently archive, index, and retrieve data, eliminating unnecessary layers of complexity and overhead, said company officials.
