Hostway (News - Alert) Corporation has entered into a partnership with Echoworx Corporation, a provider of managed encryption services for complete enterprise hosted Exchange e-mail and data protection.
As part of the pact and following the integration of Echoworx policy-based encryption, Hostway will begin offering encryption solutions as part of its Microsoft Exchange 2010 offering to their customers.
Officials with Echoworx Corporation said that Encrypted Mail Gateway (News
- Alert) from Echoworx is a policy-based managed encryption solution that provides organizations with an easy way to enforce e-mail encryption without disrupting the day-to-day workflow of their employees.
It puts the control back in the hands of the IT department by enabling them to manage the organization's entire e-mail infrastructure, and allows users to read their encrypted e-mail from their desktop or mobile device.
"By adding policy-based e-mail encryption to their services, Hostway will help their customers enforce compliance at the gateway," said Michael Ginsberg, president and CEO of Echoworx (News - Alert), in a statement.
Ginsberg said that an added bonus is that all encrypted messages will be digitally signed and validated to meet compliance requirements.
"We know that e-mail encryption will make our Microsoft (News
- Alert) Exchange offering even more valuable to customers and look forward to a successful partnership with Echoworx," said Andrew Kemp, vice president of product management of Hostway.
Kemp said that e-mail encryption gives businesses another reason to transition to the company’s hosted Microsoft Exchange offering.
“It will help organizations meet their compliance and regulatory challenges without the need for upfront investment in additional hardware and software, enabling cost savings”, he said.
Hostway Corporation provides dedicated hosting, shared hosting, colocation, domain name registration, ecommerce solutions and other Web-based services to over 1.4 million websites and 600,000 customers worldwide.
