Sweden’s Halon Security is delivering its Virtual Spam Prevention solution to Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC).
APNIC aims to secure and protect organizations from debilitating spam, viruses, malware and phising hosted Exchange e-mail-based attacks.
After a free 30-day trial of the evaluation software available on Halon’s website, APNIC selected Halon Security as a foundation for a robust and best-in-class electronic communication infrastructure defense system framework.
The Virtual Spam Prevention (VSP) was subject to rigorous cross-platform and system tests by the system administrators and finally the Halon VSP solution proved the most compelling solution for APNIC.
Halon’s VSP is now the choice security solution for APNIC, which joins the long list of blue chip technology infrastructure leaders to adopt Halon’s VSP solutions.
Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre is the Asia/Pacific equivalent to RIPE for Europeans or ARIN (News - Alert) for The United States. This centre manages IP address distribution to ISPs and other organizations in 56 economies, including India, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea, China and Japan.
“We are extremely proud and happy to be able to help APNIC with their email security,” said Peter Falck, president of Halon Security. “The transformation to IPv6 is an absolute necessity if the Asia/Pacific region is to continue to be able to embrace technology and the wealth of information that the Internet can offer.”
Halon claims it offers the best-in-class results in filtering incoming email and sorting out the spam and contaminated emails from the legitimate ones. The entire Halon Security product range features built in support for IPv6 and other technologies such as DNSSEC and DKIM.
