At its Southwest District bi-annual partner briefing, Microsoft (News - Alert) acknowledged contributions made by its partners and honored hosted ExchangePerficient Inc., with the "Best Practice Award." company

The Best Practice Award recognizes exceptional partner expertise or competency in a specific industry, vertical, solution or segment.

Perficient (News - Alert), Inc., an information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, received the award for the SharePoint solution it developed for a large automotive manufacturer.

The firm had to build and deploy a system that was capable of recording and tracking manufacturer-dealer interactions for the field organization. In addition, the solution had to be simple, flexible and user-friendly for all concerned.

Utilizing capabilities within Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Business Connectivity Services, Perficient allowed client tools to improve productivity, reduce IT costs, strengthen dealer relationships, enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency.

According to the company, Perficient's efforts translated into a high user adoption, addition of more than 2,000 records and positive user feedback from the field reps for the automaker.

Berg noted that the company's ability to tie the business technology solutions to the client's business problems, keeping the end user in mind was what made its approach a 'Best Practice.”
