eZuce Inc. has launched eZuce, an open source enterprise communications solution, cofounded by Industry veterans and creators of SIPfoundry (News - Alert), Martin Steinmann and Jerry Stabile, and made available for the enterprise communication market delivered at the price of email.
"eZuce is a new company with a mature product. eZuce was born from the successful efforts of SIPfoundry as demand increased for an open source, SIP based solution that ties enterprise communications tools with Web-enabled business processes. eZuce presents a logical progression in UC with a holistic approach that marries the strengths of enterprise communications with cloud computing," Martin Steinmann (News - Alert), chief executive officer and Co-founder, eZuce, Inc., said.
The solution, as stated, is based on seven years of development and is a mature, complete and credible product based on the standards established by the SIPfoundry community to enable enterprises to replace legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems and turn communications into software.
As an enterprise-grade communications solution, eZuce is targeted at enterprises with 200-10,000 users, eZuce openUC is more than just telephony, and is said to be the open alternative to Microsoft (News - Alert).
eZuce openUC is said to offer a fully standards-based, interoperable, reliable and scalable solution that acts as a cost-effective replacement to existing legacy IP PBX systems both as a premise-based CPE and through hosted deployments enabling managed services offerings.
Claimed as the first open unified communications software solution, delivered 100% through channel partners, eZuce openUC is said to empower partners to deliver managed services or CaaS at a lower per seat price, enabling incremental services revenues for partners.
"Current approaches to UC are stifled by interoperability challenges. As enterprises tackle these challenges, eZuce openUC portends a new set of options for delivering and managing voice, video and data communications. Enterprises seeking an open solution will find the standards-based, interoperable and scalable offering from eZuce to act as a cost-effective option," Blair Pleasant (News - Alert), principal analyst, COMMfusion LLC & UCStrategies.com said.
