1394 Trade Association Approves Revised AM Specification for Mobile and Residential Consumer Audio Applications
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
The 1394 Trade Association has approved a revision of the Audio Music
(AM) Protocol, with updates relating to emerging multichannel formats
and compression standards used for mobile and residential consumer audio
applications (TA2009013 - AM Protocol Ver. 2.3).
The AM protocol standard now integrates the latest IEC60958-3 additions
and support has been added for streaming decrypted Advanced Access
Content System (AACS) conten using the DTLA specified Digital
Only Token (DOT) subject to the FCC (News - Alert) Waiver Order of May 2010.
These additions and updates maintain the IEEE1394 standard in its long
held position as one of the most efficient, viable connections for
transporting copy-protected content.
The 1394 Trade Association is a worldwide organization dedicated to the
