BIOTRONIK Adds New Reocor External Pacemaker to Its External Product Portfolio
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. --(Business Wire)--
BIOTRONIK,
Inc., announced today the U.S. launch of its new Reocor
external pacemaker. The device is available in two models, for dual- and
single-chamber pacing therapy, and offers individualized patient
therapy, easy handling and flexibility in every detail. Reocor enriches
BIOTRONIK's portfolio of high quality cardiovascular devices and sets a
new standard of quality for external pacing therapy.

"Reocor has an intuitive design to simplify its utility. Clearly marked
dials display selectable parameter values. The dials are simple and
customers have told us that they're perfect for visualizing programmed
settings with just a quick glance" commented Rex Richmond, Vice
President of Marketing, BIOTRONIK, Inc. "As a result, the device is easy
to use without extensive training."
The new device also features an extended longevity that increases
reliability and reduces costs over time. Extended battery service times
of up to 600 hours for permanent pacing therapy (with the Reocor S
model), supplemented with a backup power supply during battery
replacement, ensures easy handling and longer continuous usage in daily
practice.
Reocor,
which effectively delivers individual solutions for a broad range of
patients, accommodates high pacing outputs and high pacing rates-a
capability that is especially important when caring for pediatric
patients.
Reocor is the latest in a series of advanced new devices BIOTRONIK has
launched during the past two years. In 2011, the company introduced
advanced external devices into the market that include a new pacing
system analyzer and a new programmer system-demonstrating its commitment
to develop the highest quality, most complete CRM product portfolio in
the industry.
"BIOTRONIK's Reocor offers our customers clear ease of use advantages.
It is an external pacemaker that combines superior longevity and
convenient handling all in a compact and durable form factor," said Jake
Langer, President of BIOTRONIK, Inc. "This device is another example of
BIOTRONIK's commitment to quality."
