As a part of its strategic plans for expansion of its M2M mobile health portfolio, Rogers Communications will deliver wireless infant pyjamas across Canada this year.
'Through powering reliable connection for end-to-end patient care with integrated tools and support like remote glucose monitors and location monitoring, we're enabling health care solution providers to deliver peace of mind to patients and healthcare professionals," said Mansell Nelson, VP, Machine to Machine, Rogers Communications (News - Alert). "We're contributing to provide the foundation for better health care by enabling a seamless connection from patients to practitioners or consumers to their vital health information.'

Rogers also announced a collaborative arrangement with Exmovere Holdings Inc., through which it will power Exmovere's biosensor infant pyjamas, Exmobaby with wireless services. The infant pyjamas from Exmovere have been designed to monitor vitals of a newborn baby such as ECG rate, skin temperature and movement. Information is then transmitted to a personal computer, tablet or mobile device.
'Working with Rogers will allow us to provide a meaningful connected experience for parents and childcare workers in Canada," said David Bychkov, CEO at Exmovere Holdings, Inc. "Rogers wireless networks provide a reliable distribution platform for our flagship technology and we're excited to bring the Exmobaby to Canada later this year.'
Rogers also works with a number of service providers under the Rogers Data Alliance and strategic relationships program. The company focuses on delivering a seamless and reliable connected experience to both physicians and patients. One service provider, PositiveID Corporation, has been working with Rogers to drive use of the iglucose solution among patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Based on mobile technology, iglucose allows patients to manage their condition as the solution constantly transmits data from glucometers to the cloud. This allows efficient monitoring of their condition as the data is shared in real time with family members and caregivers.
Rogers has been instrumental in driving mobile health experiences across clinics and pharmacies, and among homecare and healthcare settings outside of the hospital. A number of customers have been provided access to advanced mobile health care tools and solutions via the Rogers Data Alliance.
