Mediacom Communications Appoints Italia Commisso Weinand Executive Vice President
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--
Mediacom Communications today announced the promotion of Italia Commisso
Weinand to Executive Vice President, Programming and Human Resources.

Commisso Weinand began her career in the cable industry at Time Warner
Cable in 1977. Before joining Mediacom in 199 as Vice President of
Operations, she served as Regional Manager for Comcast (News - Alert) Corporation. In
1997, she was promoted to Senior Vice President, Programming and Human
Resources. She was recognized in 2004 with the Multichannel News Wonder
Woman Award and has been named among the "Most Powerful Women in Cable"
by CableFax Magazine for the past five years. Inducted as a Cable TV
Pioneer, Commisso Weinand previously served as a Board Member for the
United Way, WICT, NCTC and Cable Positive. She is presently on the
boards of The Cable Center and The Emma Bowen Foundation, and is also
active in fundraising for charities such as Knights of Columbus and Hope
Through Care.
