Philips Speech Processing Unveils Updated SpeechExec Enterprise Digital Dictation Software

Philips (News - Alert) Speech Processing, a major player in professional dictation systems, has unveiled SpeechExec Enterprise 4.1, the latest version of its enterprise-wide dictation management software solution.

Officials with Philips Speech Processing said that SpeechExec Enterprise 4.1 features advanced administration tools for improved data management for large groups of dictation users.

According to company officials, the new software version supports faster turnaround times through a variety of updated features, including an enhanced statistics module, which generates data on dictation and transcription workflow. This feature allows for quicker decision-making and facilitates continuous workflow optimization for ever-changing user patterns and preferences.

Company officials said that the updated software also enhances user management with Active Directory synchronization allowing administrators to identify user groups and manage user rights with the click of a button. Additionally, administrators can assign group management rights to heads of department, making it easier to evenly distribute workloads among users.

"SpeechExec Enterprise 4.1 brings a wealth of benefits to voice technology users and IT administrators and was developed in close collaboration with professionals from several industries to help them work efficiently in constantly changing work environments," said Thomas Brauner, CEO and category leader at Philips Speech Processing, in a statement.

Brauner said that the new version, which integrates and operates with many other applications, helps profit-conscious businesses create documents in a fast, convenient and inexpensive way, in addition to allowing them to implement it with ease so that even the highest-volume dictation workflows are not disrupted.

Company officials pointed out that the software also fully integrates with the SpeechExec app for iPhone (News - Alert) and Blackberry, further enhancing the digital dictation process with heightened flexibility for mobile dictation.

The SpeechExec Enteprise 4.1 software also connects seamlessly with Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional, Legal and Medical to integrate the entire document creation workflow within one single application. This integration is part of the expanded partnership Philips Speech Processing and Nuance (News - Alert) Communication recently announced in order to better integrate speech recognition with SpeechExec.
