Datatel Unveils Hosted IVR Credit Card Payments Solution for Parking Providers

Datatel Communications, a Canada-based provider of PCI (News - Alert) compliant hosted IVR solutions for credit card payments, announced a new suite of solutions for parking and parking enforcement companies.
Datatel helps businesses address specific payment card industry security requirements (PCI-DSS) by offering and implementing a solution in the cloud to offload the collection and transmission of sensitive credit card information collection from live agents, and internal Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems.
The company’s Telephone IVR Credit Card Payments in the Cloud removes the collection and transmission of customer credit card information away from Live agents, and in-house systems. This is a significant milestone in achieving PCI compliance, according to company officials.
Delivered under a cloud model, the service does not require software or hardware on premise. There are several industry specific models to choose from. Datatel’s IVR services are employed by business and service providers to automate a wide range of customer interactions over the telephone.
The new cloud-based IVR solution offers a feature rich, quick and cost effective pay-by-phone option for collection of payments of parking permits and parking infractions.

Since Telephone IVR Credit Card Payments in the Cloud uses client’s existing merchant accounts, it reduces implementation costs and accelerates time to market. Datatel provides connectivity to major credit card processors, gateways in the US and Canada.
The Telephone IVR Credit Card Payments in the Cloud can be integrated with parking management systems in real time. The service offers a wide range of configuration options. It also includes automated permit expiry reminders.
Earlier in June, Datatel introduced the new suite of telephone IVR payment solutions for Utility Companies, supporting both credit card and ACH payments.
