As September comes to a close, it’s time to wrap up all the latest headlines in technology. Let’s take a look at what happened in hosted IVR this week.
Revol Wireless made news this week as it selected the Interop (News - Alert) Hosted OTA (over-the-air) Solution that is integrated with an IVR system.
According to the report, Interop’s IVR can be integrated into an existing OTA platform or implemented as part of their comprehensive OTA-IVR provisioning solution. What this means for companies who use it is increases customer satisfaction.
“Our OTA-IVR solution enables Revol to reduce costs associated with manual activations and provisioning and more efficiently manage its pool of CDMA devices, which has become more challenging as new, feature-rich handsets have been introduced,” said Fred Farrell, vice president of North American Sales at Interop Technologies.
Details of Revol’s selection can be read via the full report.
In other hosted IVR news, we can expect to see voice biometrics and voice recognition from Amorvox 9. The solution from Auraya Systems will now offer both in a single system, and expects to manage up to 50,000 verifications per hour, while being capable of housing 250,000-1 million voice prints.
The integration will allow for customer identification, among other things.

In other news, Dragon, specifically Dragon Dictation and Dragon search now supports the language of the Ukraine.
Ukrainian customers can now take advantage of the speech recognition software for the iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch and iPad, all for free in the App Store.

We’re very excited to continue expanding our global reach, bringing the power of Dragon to rapidly growing mobile markets like Ukraine,” executive vice president and general manager at Nuance Mobile, Michael Thompson (News
