TMCnet's Hosted IVR Week in Review

It’s the weekend, which means it’s time to settle down, prepare for the “Frankenstorm” that’s hitting the northeast, and catch up on the latest news in hosted IVR.
This week, we learned that Sargama partnered with Tata Docomo to launch an IVR service known as “Legends Forever.”
Saragema holds one of the largest music catalogs in India, and together with the telecom provider Tata Docomo, the new music service will offer “40 melodies of legends” via CDMA, GSM and VMI.
"We have associated with Tata Docomo for an interactive voice response service 'Legends Forever.' It's a promotional service which will allow users and music fanatics to listen to their legends whenever they like,” said Adarsh Gupta of Saragema.

In other news this week, the Department of Veterans Affairs is now using an IVR system that will allow them to help veterans manage their weight.
According to the report, the IVR will help VA staff monitor their patients’ health remotely by checking in on vital signs and so on.

- Alert) is very pleased that the VA has approved the national rollout of our IVR solution with TeleMOVE,” Gavin Stewart, vice president of Business Development at Authentidate, said in a statement.

Last but not least, this week Broadcore (News - Alert) made headlines as it entered into a partnership with Inference Solutions to offer their client base advanced IVR applications.
According to the report, this partnership is a strategic one for Broadcore, as all clients have “the ability to deploy advanced IVR and speech recognition applications rapidly.”
Michael Bacich, vice president of Cloud Communications, said this service allowed them to further evolve and enhance upon the BroadSoft (News - Alert) call center offerings, and brings to the Enterprise space a real alternative to IVR premises-based solutions.
