Sygic’s GPS navigation apps are becoming popular among users quickly. Recently, the company announced that it has crossed the 20 million instillation mark across the iOS and Android (News - Alert) platform. According to the company, this achievement makes the on-board worldwide service the most popular Off-Line GPS product for smartphones.
Sygic is a voice guided GPS navigation app. The app provides the latest maps and a dependable set of navigation features. Both app and maps are updated for free. Maps are also available on the phone for offline use. Sygic is trusted by millions of users around the world.
Sygic's onboard technology identifies the critical importance for mobile GPS services. These services always need to be available as they are important tools for travelers both here and abroad. Sygic users drive more than 1.9 million miles per day, with coverage in 111 countries. Sygic's disruptive technology takes away the need for secondary navigation devices in a dashboard, as it is the top global offline navigation app.
“As we rely more and more on our smartphones, we are lulled into a false sense of security that they will always work when we need them, but data is not always available making Sygic's always-on approach a critical resource," said Michal Stencl, Sygic cofounder and CEO. "We are tethered to our data connections, but the average consumer experiences a critical data error 1-3 times per session. Our app eliminates that pain point.”
In February 2012, the company reached more than five million downloads in the android market. The company has stated that it is ahead of all third party navigation apps in the android market. Ranking top 10 in Free Travel and Local apps in 39 countries, the app is available as a seven-day free trial and covers regions on four continents.
