The adoption of smartphones and the convergence of mobile and IP-based messaging for day-to-day communications have increased exponentially. However, users interacting in different languages find it difficult while texting or messaging.
In an effort to eliminate the language barrier that exists in mobile communications, Miami, Florida-based technology startup company, Sendboo, announced its new cross-platform mobile messaging application tool, also called Sendboo.
With a mission of “One World. One Language. All Yours,” Sendboo breaks language barriers with real-time language translation for smartphone users worldwide.
Making its debut at the ongoing International CES (News - Alert) 2013, Sendboo is currently the only cross-platform, real-time messaging application to provide seamless translation into 30 languages, opening a whole new world for smartphone and tablet users.
Currently, Sendboo supports Arabic, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese languages. It will initially be compatible with the Apple iOS mobile operating system, and become available for Android (News - Alert) devices during the first quarter of 2013.
Available in both free and premium versions, Sendboo operates on a phone or tablet's Internet data plan or Wi-Fi connectivity. Consequently, users are not required to pay costs associated with SMS text messaging.
Unlike other mobile messaging apps, Sendboo not only supports group chat and unlimited image, video and audio media messaging, but also addresses the challenges of international communications.
It has been provided with an interface that allows users to communicate as well as exchange messages seamlessly, not only in the same language, but in different languages without the use of a separate translation tool.
Apart from user-friendly interface, Sendboo also features contact group management, location sharing, real-time status updates, user profiles, searchable message history, broadcast messaging, group chat and a message export function.
Users are required to set the app to their preferred language, send a message and the system translates this message into the preferred language of the recipient in real time.
This feature works for one-on-one and group messages, as well as in the app's group chat feature.
Alfredo Reviati, CEO and president of Sendboo, said, "Sendboo offers an easy messaging for users looking for a better option for basic messaging, but also for users that interact in different languages. Whether for work or social interactions, Sendboo will revolutionize global communications."
