Express Interconnect has released a new Asterisk (News - Alert) Image compatible with Amazon AWS EC2 Cloud Infrastructure called, ReadyVoicePBX AMI. The new service will allow users to connect easily with Amazon to configure numerous unified communications features previously unavailable to small businesses.
“To take advantage of Amazon’s AWS EC2 cloud computing infrastructure, a machine image (AMI) containing the operating system and Asterisk IP PBX (News - Alert) service has to be created or started which can be complicated and time consuming,” the company said in a statement. “Express Interconnect’s new AMI image, ReadyVoice PBX, now available to the public is easy to deploy as you simply select the registered AMI-ID from the Management Console and your Voice over IP phone service is deployed immediately.”
Express Interconnect currently uses the ReadyVoice PBX AMI solution for their hosted VoIP services. According to a blog post, the new solution will allow businesses of all sizes freedom to customize the platform to their liking.
“ReadyVoicePBX AMI does not have anything configured so you will need to edit the configuration files to your liking,” said Express. “For SIP Trunking, our Hosted VoIP Company, ExpressVoice PBX can provide you with low cost SIP Trunk for you to use. Our rates are very competitive to other SIP providers out there and we allow unlimited concurrent connection.”
After installation, companies can use ReadyVoicePBX AMI to handle all incoming and outgoing calls, send voicemails to e-mails, create an auto attendant and interactive voice response menu, add multiple extensions, allow users to have access to music on hold, and even provide multiple SIP trunks from any SIP providers.
“ReadyVoicePBX AMI offers most of the advanced features used by ExpressVoice PBX in its Hosted VoIP Phone (News - Alert) Service to Small Businesses, with the exception of DAHDI drivers. This system provides Small Businesses access to advanced calling features that were previously only available to high end PBX telephony systems,” said Express.
